The proper drilling fluid system is “blood” of oil well, an integral part which contributes to the success of drilling campaign. Aware of this, ATC, with its resources and the cooperation of Institute of Drilling Technology (IDT), has continuously developed advanced drilling fluid systems that are suitable for different well formations and drilling requirements and bring maximum benefits to drilling operators.

Flow Assurance

• Paraffin inhibitors / pour point depressants – help prevent precipitation of paraffin crystals
• Wax dispersant – helps disperse the wax crystals into the produced oil or water
• Drag reducing agent – friction reducers or flow improvers
• Scale inhibitors – inhibit inorganic deposits
• Gas hydrate inhibitors – prevent hydrate

Oil / Water Separation

• Demulsifier bases – help make efficient formulations that quickly separate produced water from oil
• Water clarifiers / deoilers – remove oil from produced water
• Defoamers – mitigate foam problems

Asset Integrity

• Corrosion inhibitors – protect steel parts for all production equipment and pipelines
• Biocides – keep bacteria growth under control
• H2S scavengers – effectively reduce levels of toxic hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas to meet safety standards and tight pipeline specifications.
• Oxygen scavengers – reduce corrosion resulting from dissolved oxygen.

EOR services provided by ATC:

• Handling sediment from the bottom of wells to increase exploitation efficiency.
• Handling the accumulation of inorganic in near wellbore, in the extraction pipe and on the surface of the equipment systems.
• Handling the condense of paraffin in production pipelines, equipment system, in crude oil transportation.
• Acidizing treatment to improve a well’s productivity or injectivity.
• Using the gaslift technique to increase the operating efficiency of the wells.
• Using chemical to mark the waterflooding in the reservoir.
